Ambassador Tamer Mustafa, head of Egypt’s mission in Tripoli, met with a number of Libyan government ministers, including the ministers of foreign affairs, planning, oil and gas, housing, labor, and the economy.
The meetings touched on the overall bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to continue working towards strengthening them.
The meeting dealt with the arrangements for reopening the Egyptian embassy in Tripoli, as well as the consulate in Benghazi.
This comes as confirmation of Egypt’s continued support for stability in Libya
They also discussed the reconstruction process in light of the experiences and competencies that Egypt enjoys, and the possibilities of benefiting from the Egyptian experience in various fields, and the provision of all capabilities in this regard.
Egyptian efforts to support the fight against the Corona epidemic and the continuation of the land bridge to transport liquid oxygen from Egypt to all Libyan regions under the supervision of the Libyan Ministry of Health were also discussed.
Moreover, these meetings dealt with stressing Egypt’s support for Libya, and making all efforts to work on implementing the road map and the stipulated benefits, leading to the holding of legislative and presidential elections next December.
