CMA CGM, the French international shipping company, has signed a two-year agreement with Egypt’s state-run Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company to use the latter’s terminals in Alexandria and Al-Dakhiliya ports, to conduct loading, unloading, and container handling operations.

CMA CGM focuses its intra-Med services at Alexandria and El Dekhalia, with deep-sea services calling at various hubs, including Port Said and Damietta.

This contract comes in line with the Alexandria Company’s constant keenness to respond to the demands of large-sized shipping lines, which care about high-level performance and distinguished services at competitive prices, in addition to the continuous updating of the company’s equipment and reliance on modern electronic systems, TOS, in the management and operation of ships, yards, and gates.

Noteworthy, the Alexandria Container and Cargo Handling Company was the first holding company for maritime and land transport to offer electronic fee collection services for individuals and government agencies.
