Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inspected, on Monday, a number of development projects being implemented under the presidential initiative “Decent Life” to develop the Egyptian countryside. The tour included some villages in Shebin Al-Qanater, Qalyubia governorate.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of adhering to timetables set for completion and operation of all countryside development projects
Madbouly was accompanied by Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawy, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Assem Al-Gazzar, Governor of Qalyubia Abdel Hamid Al-Hajan, and a number of officials from the concerned authorities.
The inspection visit included an agricultural services complex in the village of Nawa. Minister Al-Gazzar said the new complex is built on an area of 530 square metres. The complex includes a veterinary unit and an agricultural cooperative, in addition to a milk collection centre.
The Prime Minister also visited the Nawa youth centre, which is being built on an area of up to 2,000 sqm.
Other projects included a sewage network in Nawa, with a total length of more than 27,000 linear meters, and an investment cost of more than EGP 43m. The project is expected to serve about 60,000 people in the village and neighboring villages.
