The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) and the Plan International Egypt have visited Al-Asmarat residential area to donate hygiene kits to vulnerable families for the prevention of COVID-19.
It was part of KOICA’s annual activity for social responsibility, under the title of “Blue Ankh,” which is organized jointly with the KOICA Alumni members who studied in Korea through KOICA’s scholarship programme.
This year’ activity, joined by alumni members, is the donation of preventive goods including face masks, hand sanitizers and soaps for around 220 households in the community.
“KOICA, as a friend of Egypt, hopes to expand our efforts for the Egyptian community with our alumni members for a more equal and peaceful world,” stated Oh YeonKeum, Country Director of KOICA.
Meanwhile, KOICA has provided Egyptian public workers and experts with various scholarship and training program opportunities in Korea for their capacity development in accordance with Vision 2030.
