Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, has announced that the mandatory operation of the Advance Cargo Information (ACI) system for pre-registration of shipments will start on 1 October.
Maait reviewed, during Wednesday’s cabinet meeting, headed by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, the latest developments regarding the ACI pre-registration system.
The Minister of Finance touched on the statistics of exporting and importing companies during the current year, and the position of companies’ registration for the single window system for cross-border trade. He also presented statistics for the number of companies registered on the CargoX platform.
He reviewed the advertising campaign of the system in the international media, which included the Financial Times, The Economist, AFP, and Forbes, in order to target the international commercial and industrial community, especially multinational companies.
