The Information Technology Institute (ITI) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced Wednesday an academic partnership with Unreal Engine of EPIC Games International with its various versions such as the FORTNITE game.
The partnership is part of the important and pioneering role of the ITI in providing distinguished first-of-a-kind training programmes in the Middle East, to qualify professional cadres and game artists specialized in game Development, virtual production, and extended reality and simulation.
Yasmine Diab, Technical Director of the Academy, stressed the importance of this partnership and its impact on the productivity of the Institute’s Academy for Electronic Games and Interactive Media, which was established by the Institute in 2010, which offers one of the distinguished programmes in the electronic games industry and qualifies for a range of career paths supporting these industries.
The Institute’s Academy of Electronic Games is also a pillar for preparing hundreds of Egyptian youth who have an effective presence now in international and Arab studios and are working remotely in the field of freelance in this area.
The Unreal Engine is one of the largest engines used in the field of electronic games, and the cooperation includes training programmers and artists to produce electronic games and digital interactive art using Unreal Engine.
