Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi affirmed that Egypt spares no effort to help its brothers achieve safety and security through political dialogue.
Egypt’s vision to settle the Libyan crisis is based on the unification of the state institution, the departure of foreign forces and mercenaries, and dissolving the armed militias.
Al-Sisi made these remarks during a virtual speech on Tuesday before the heads of the “Arab Intelligence Forum”, within the framework of the extraordinary meeting of the forum, which is currently being held in Cairo.
During his speech, the president stressed the principle of joint responsibility in confronting the challenges facing the Arab region, especially terrorism and extremist ideology.
The president also explained that these challenges require a comprehensive approach for dealing with regional crises, by focusing on ending foreign interference in the affairs of the Arab region, and respecting the decision and will of the peoples and the sovereignty of national states and their institutions.
According to Al-Sisi, this would contribute to ending the exploitation of these crises by terrorist and extremist organisations and their repercussions.
For their part, the attendees stressed the importance of the forum as a strong and supportive mechanism for close intelligence cooperation between the Arab countries, as well as its contribution to establishing an integrated and a judicial system to combat terrorism based on the integration of roles, exchange of experiences, and modernisation.
