The Netherlands joined the 11 national teams that qualified directly to the World Cup 2022, which are: Qatar (the hosts), Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark, Brazil, Croatia, Spain, Serbia, Switzerland, and England.
The Dutch national team qualified for the World Cup, after defeating hosts Norway (2-0) on Tuesday evening, at the Feyenoord Stadium, in the final round of Group G.
Also in the final round, the Swiss national team beat Bulgaria (4-0) at the Swisspor Arena, to qualify directly to the World Cup at the expense of the Italian team which proceeded to the play-offs.
England qualified directly for the World Cup after a massive 10-0 victory over San Marino at the San Marino Stadium. Spain, led by head coach Luis Enrique, qualified for the World Cup after defeating Sweden at the La Cartuja Stadium in Seville.
Shockingly, Serbia qualified directly to Qatar 2022 after an unexpected 2-1 victory over Portugal, at the Algarve Stadium. The Croatian national team also qualified for the World Cup, after defeating Russia (1-0), at the Maksimir Stadium.
The Belgian national team qualified for the World Cup, after defeating Estonia, 3-1, at the King Baudouin Stadium. The French national team also qualified for the 2022 World Cup, after defeating Kazakhstan (8-0), at the Princes Park stadium.
Brazil were the only South American team that officially qualified for the World Cup so far.
