Egypt’s Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said unvaccinated citizens would not be allowed in government facilities starting from 1 December.
This came during a cabinet meeting on Wednesday to review the pandemic situation locally and internationally, and occupancy rates in hospitals in Egypt.
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Khaled Abdel Ghaffar attended the meeting.
Abdel Ghaffar said that a total of 27,485,140 people received one dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 14,454,652 people received two doses.
He added that the ministry will expand COVID-19 vaccination booths at Cairo Metro stations, railways stations, and malls nationwide.
