Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, has travelled to Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, to participate in the fourth edition of the Global Manufacturing and Industrialization Summit (GMIS), on behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.
More than 200 government officials and global industry and technology leaders will participate in the summit to discuss shaping the future of the industrial sector and highlight investment opportunities in technology, innovation, and manufacturing.
The GMIS is a joint initiative between the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology in the UAE and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The summit is held this year under the title “Rewiring societies: repurposing digitalization for prosperity”. It addresses the importance of adopting digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and cloud computing, as well as highlighting the promotion of integration between humans and machines.
On the sidelines of the summit, many events, panel discussions, interactive sessions, supportive activities for youth, and activities related to the initiatives of the Summit, such as the Mohammed bin Rashid Initiative for Global Prosperity, will be held.
The summit also includes the establishment of the first technology-based industrial exhibition in the UAE, which will be held over a week to showcase the latest innovations and solutions in the field of technology and industry.
