Bosta, an Egyptian startup for shipping solutions, has announced plans to expand its shipping fleet in partnership with Family Corporation, a leading company in the transportation field, in the Egyptian market.
Family Corporation will provide Bosta with tricycles and vans to be used in delivery operations nationwide.
Hence, Bosta will launch a fast delivery service with 1,000 tricycles initially in the first phase. The project ensures the efficiency of shipping, shortens the time of delivery, and provides new job opportunities.
Mohamed Ezzat, CEO of Bosta, expressed his pride in this partnership with Family Corporation, adding that Bosta’s growth strategy targets expanding its presence in Egypt to cope with the digital transformation that impacted the e-commerce market positively.
He stated that Bosta developed its infrastructure locally to be qualified for this step. The infrastructure development included a digital revamp, a new fleet, and a warehouse expansion.
Ezzat added that Bosta went through trial stages to test the speed of delivering various types of parcels.
Waguih Eskandar, Family Corporations’ Managing Director, commented: “We support freight and delivery service companies in the Egyptian market by working on effective partnership agreements to achieve expansion plans.
We provide the highest quality transportation services through a network of comprehensive maintenance centres that confirm the efficiency of the fleet. We also train our drivers to commit to the highest standards of safe driving.”
Eskandar added that Family Corporation’s vision aims to be the top partner to the freight and delivery industry in Egypt. Family Corporation owns a fleet of 1,100 various vehicles in different sizes.
Karim El-Deeb, Bosta’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), clarified that this step would help Bosta execute its expansion plan, seize more innovative shipping solutions, and provide new job opportunities.
Bosta’s expansion strategy aims to deliver more than 5 million parcels by the end of 2021 and 15 million parcels by 2022.
Moreover, Bosta’s Marketing Manager, Shehab Gomaa, said the company’s expansion in business will positively affect the Egyptian market and provide 1,000 direct and indirect job opportunities by doubling up the number of couriers by the second half of 2022.
Since Bosta’s launch in 2017, the company has evolved strategies to empower e-commerce and the freight and shipping industry in the Middle East and Africa region.
