Amr El-Kady, CEO of the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB), met with one of the most important tour operators in the Russian market and a number of representatives of Russian tourism companies in Hurghada, within the framework of the introductory trip organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities represented by the ETPB in cooperation with one of the most important tour operators In the Russian market during the period from 1 to 8 December under the title “Experience Egypt” for 130 Russian tourism companies.
This trip aims to introduce the Egyptian tourist destination and its distinct and different elements, patterns and tourist products to the Russian tourism companies too. In addition to visiting a number of Egyptian tourist cities, including Hurghada, Luxor, and Cairo.
El-Kady stressed the depth of relations between Russia and Egypt, pointing to aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in many fields, including the field of tourism.
He pointed out that the year 2021 was announced to celebrate the year of Egyptian-Russian human exchange. He expressed his happiness for Russian tourists choosing Egypt as their preferred tourist destination, stressing the readiness of the Egyptian tourist destination to receive all tourists from all countries of the world.
During the meeting, El Kady reviewed the diversity that the Egyptian tourist destination enjoys and all the tourist patterns that characterize it, in addition to the incentives offered by the Egyptian state to attract more incoming tourist traffic to Egypt and encourage tour operators to organize tourist trips to it. He also reviewed the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. In providing many electronic services to tourists during their visit to Egypt, including activating the text messaging service for tourists upon their arrival in Egypt to welcome them, which includes the ministry’s hotline to receive their suggestions and complaints and respond to their inquiries, in addition to the police and ambulance emergency numbers. He also reviewed the precautionary measures taken by the Egyptian state.
He also talked about the state’s plan to create a new integrated tourism product, such as integrating the beach and leisure tourism product with the cultural tourism product through several elements.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to hold more joint meetings aimed at strengthening efforts to develop joint cooperation and tourism promotion between the two countries.
