The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of South Sudan Maike Aye Deng, received the Egyptian Ambassador in Juba Moataz Abdel Qader, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement on Wednesday.
The ministry said that the South Sudanese minister stressed during the meeting reflected the depth of relations between the two countries and peoples, looking forward to more cooperation and coordination between the two sides in all areas of bilateral cooperation, and continuing coordination and political consultation on various regional and continental issues and issues of interest.
The South Sudanese minister also expressed his appreciation and thanks to President Al-Sisi and the Egyptian government for the support and assistance provided by Egypt to South Sudan, praising the momentum witnessed by the bilateral relations between the two countries at this stage.
For his part, the Egyptian ambassador stressed the close cooperation between the two countries and the recent high-level visits, which confirms the common desire to advance and develop bilateral relations between Egypt and South Sudan to broader horizons, and allows optimal employment of all economic and investment opportunities available in the two countries. It reflects the brotherly relations of President Al-Sisi and President Salva Kiir, as well as the close relations between the two peoples.
