Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry headed on Monday to the Cypriot capital, Nicosia, at the invitation of his Cypriot counterpart, Nikos Christodoulides.
Talks are expected to be held between the two sides on all aspects of the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the visit comes within the framework of the continuous promotion of bilateral relations and the follow-up to the results of the meeting of the Egyptian-Cypriot Higher Committee for Cooperation, which was inaugurated in Cairo last September under the chairmanship of the two countries’ presidents.
The visit also deals with consultation on regional and international issues of common concern.
