Orascom Pyramids Entertainment, a subsidiary of Orascom Investment Holding, has signed a one-year sponsorship agreement with Orange Egypt to provide smart and integrated communication solutions and services within the Pyramids Plateau in Giza.
It comes in the framework of the cooperation protocol between Orascom Pyramids and the Supreme Council of Antiquities to put a plan to develop, avail, and operate the visitor services within the Giza Pyramids Plateau.
The sponsorship agreement ceremony was attended by Hesham Gadallah, Chairperson and CEO of Orascom Pyramids; Ehab Salem, Deputy Minister of Financial and Administrative Affairs at the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities; Ashraf Mohey, Director of the Giza Pyramids area; Stephan Richard, Chairperson and CEO of Orange SA; Alioune Ndiaye, Chairperson and CEO of Orange Africa and Middle East; and Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Egypt.
Hesham Gadallah stated that this agreement is part of the company’s plan to develop and raise the efficiency of the services provided to visitors in the Giza Pyramids Plateau. It also offers the latest communication technology services in order to enhance the overall visitor experience and make it more modern, enjoyable, and easy for all foreign and Egyptian visitors. This also will classify the entire Giza Plateau as an incredible model that combines the originality and authenticity of the archaeological site with the contemporary feel of the latest modern technologies. These technologies comply with the highest international standards in a way that befits the greatness and prestige of the Giza Pyramids Plateau.
Orascom Pyramids Entertainment has developed a master plan in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Antiquities and the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. The plan aims to enhance the visiting area and to provide multiple services for visitors. This includes management, providing and operating parking facilities, electric buses to transport visitors to the visiting areas inside the pyramids plateau, a complex with high-end restaurants, recreational areas, a cultural arena, an entertainment hub, developing and operating the visitor center, electric bus stations, F&B outlets, ambulances and first aid clinics, in addition to bazars and gifts and souvenirs shops.
