Elsewedy Electric announced that one of its subsidiaries has been contracted to conduct a project in Kuwait with a total value of KWD 8.4m (EGP 440m).
In a disclosure sent to the Egyptian Exchange on Sunday, Elsewedy announced that the contract was signed by its subsidiary Egytech Cables and the Public Authority for Housing Welfare from the Kuwaiti side.
The contract involves the supply, extension, and maintenance of ground cables (132 kV) feeding the main substations of the Al-Mutlaa Residential City project.
Egytech Cables is scheduled to conduct the project under the turnkey system within 18 months from the work commencement date.
Last November, Elsewedy contracted three projects in Kuwait with a total value of KWD 20.4m (EGP 1.06bn).
Elsewedy also signed several contracts in six African countries in the fields of electricity, dams, and solar energy, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Tanzania, Zambia, Madagascar, and Ghana between 2019 and 2021.
