Minister of Trade and Industry Nevine Gamea announced on Tuesday that the 55th Cairo International Fair will be held from 9 to 18 March, with a large number of major Egyptian companies from various productive sectors expected to participate.
Mai Assal, the Head of the Egypt Expo and Convention Authority (EECA), stated that the exhibition comes within the framework of the great interest that the state attaches to exhibitions and their role in supporting the national economy.
She added that the exhibition contributes to revitalising the internal trade movement and providing high quality products at reasonable prices as well as increasing the competitiveness of Egyptian products.
Furthermore, Assal said that this year many Arab and African countries in Africa are expected to be represented in the event, along with representatives from the most important and largest local productive sectors.
She explained that the Cairo International Fair offers exhibiting companies distinct opportunities to directly market their products and services locally and internationally as well as remain updated on other fields. The fair can also serve as an opportunity to exchange experiences between Egyptian companies and their counterparts from various participating countries.
The previous edition of the Cairo International Fair was held last September 2021, as opposed to its usual scheduling in March, due to the pandemic. However, the fair enjoyed much success, nonetheless.
