Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi held a meeting with the head of the Transitional Military Council of Chad, Mohamed Idris Deby, at the Itihadiya Presidential Palace in Cairo on Wednesday.
An official reception ceremony was held for Deby upon his arrival at the palace.
It is expected that the two sides will discuss ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and Chad as well as follow up on the latest developments concerning regional issues of common interest.
Egypt and Chad have long-established ties due to the many commonalities they share as well as their memberships in several regional and international organisations such as the African Union and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
