The Information Technology Institute (ITI) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology announced on Saturday launching a new training programme that will be provided in cooperation with the Arab African International Bank (AAIB).
The joint training programme aims to expand the influence of ambitious Egyptian youths in the ICT workplace and raise the efficiency of young graduates.
This comes within the framework of the ministry’s strategy to build digital capabilities, which aims to bridge the gap between the outputs of the educational process and the actual requirements of the labour market in the fields of information and communication technology by providing specialised training programmes to prepare young people at the highest level in line with the successive global development in technology and in a manner that qualifies them to obtain distinct job opportunities.
Heba Saleh, the Director of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), said that the cooperation with the AAIB comes as a continuation of the institute’s approach of cooperating with various major entities to support the training of young people on digital tools in various sectors.
She added that the programme, in its first round, will provide training and employment opportunities in the field of “MEARN Development” for a limited number of distinguished trainees.
The training period is about 600 hours and will cover the following areas: ES.Next, Javascript Design and Architectural Patterns, GraphQL API, JavaScript Unit Testing & TDD, Responsive Web Design Fundamentals, React Native, Secure Coding Fundamentals, Docker, and Kubernates Fundamentals.
Regarding the conditions for applying to the programme, she said that the training opportunity is available to various young people as long as they hold higher qualifications and are Egyptian.
The institute stipulated that applicants must have a ‘Good’ grade level or higher, be a recent graduate or at the most a graduate in the last 10 years, and pass all the required admissions tests and personal interviews. The programme’s application deadline is on 13 January.
