Egypt’s Minister of Sports Ashraf Sobhi has eached an agreement with businessman Hisham Talaat Moustafa, CEO and Managing Director of Talaat Mostafa Group, to allocate a reward of EGP 10 million to the players of the Egyptian national team if they win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2021) title.
During his call with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Talaat Moustafa congratulated the minister on the great achievement of the Egyptian team reaching the AFCON final, the strong performances made by Egypt’s players, and their victory over the host Cameroon.
It was agreed that Talaat Moustafa Group will allocate the reward as a gift from the group to the team players to encourage them and appreciate their performance, effort and achievement that they achieve in the championship.
For his part, the Minister of Youth and Sports expressed his thanks and appreciation to Hisham Talaat Moustafa for the fruitful cooperation with the Ministry in supporting and caring for players in various sports, praising the societal role of private sector institutions, and the constructive cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports in sponsoring various programs and projects implemented for youth and youth.
Sobhi confirmed that the reward that will be offered to the players by the Talaat Moustafa Group will be separate from the rewards that the players will receive according to the organizing regulations. He expressed his appreciation to all the players for their distinguished appearance, and their determination to win the championship title for the eighth time.
He added that Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah Al-Sisi keenness to congratulate the team and the players is the best reward and appreciation for the sports system.
The Egyptian national football team is scheduled to meet Senegal in the final of the African Nations Cup next Sunday at 9 pm Cairo time.
