Grintafy, the largest platform for discovering football talents in the Middle East, has announced its expansion in the Egyptian market and the appointment of Ahmed Zalat as the company’s director in Egypt.
This is part of the company’s plan to expand in the Arab region after achieving success in Saudi Arabia for over four years, and to tap Egypt’s impressive supply of football talents.
Grintafy is a Saudi company that owns a professional platform to discover emerging talents in football and connect them with each other, talent scouts, clubs, and sports academies through an innovative electronic community.
The company was established in 2018 at the hands of Magdy Al-Lolo in Saudi Arabia.
Over the past months, Grintafy has succeeded in holding many sporting events that qualified it to organise its latest activities to discover Egyptian talents in football in cooperation with the English West Ham team. Their next event will be held from 15 to 17 February and is part of a two-week tour of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE to select 20 talented players, who will be given the opportunity to play for the famous English club.
More than 150 talented young people have registered to attend the event that will be held in Cairo through the Grintafy platform. The players will be evaluated according to technical and physical criteria set by West Ham Academy experts, with the most talented players winning the experience of a lifetime.
Grintafy will help emerging Egyptian talents achieve their dreams of playing professionally, as it allows users to build their football resumes and give them the opportunity to be viewed by talent scouts, academies, and sports clubs, by organising exercises and matches, searching for and participating in them, and evaluating the performance of other players, in addition to getting their own evaluation and following up on their performance. Talents can also upload videos and photos of their special skills and special goals to display to scouts and draw their attention.
In this context, Zalat expressed his happiness to have joined the company in conjunction with the great project with West Ham English Club, pointing out that the company has a huge plan to spread to various governorates of Egypt in partnership with international clubs with resonant names that are seeking fresh talent, stressing that the beginning will be with the English West Ham team, followed by a series of other international clubs.
Zalat added that, according to the partnership agreement between West Ham and Grintafy, the talent tests will be the first of their kind, as they consist of three integrated training sessions at the highest level in the presence of qualified coaches from the International Football Association (FIFA) to supervise the tests, noting that Grintafy’s vision is in line with the vision of the Egyptian state to discover and support sports talents and qualify them to be international professionals who elevate the name of Egypt in regional and international forums.
The testing period also includes conducting an assessment and analysis of the performance and level of mental attendance of the players on a continuous basis over the three days of the tests, so that the report contains the player’s degree of concentration, skills, and efficiency in performing the required exercises in terms of physical, technical, and other levels, which gives players a great opportunity to gain professional experiences inside and outside the playground, whether or not they are chosen for the outdoor experience.
It is expected that each player participating in the tests will be handed a comprehensive report that includes an analysis of their technical and physical level, along with videos that they are entitled to use later for a small fee, which contributes to developing the skills of young players and qualifying them for early professionalism.
After selecting the best talents in football, a special session will be held to give them technical tips that will help them to play professionally abroad.
It is worth noting that Grintafy is an exclusive partner to the West Ham Football Academy in terms of discovering talents, in addition to its partnership with many other big clubs, and it has a huge expansion plan in several countries within the Arab world in the coming period.
