Shoukry begins Asian tour including Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry began on Sunday an Asian tour that includes Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Pakistan, to boost the distinguished relations between Egypt and these countries.

Ahmed Hafez, the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that Minister Shoukry will meet with his counterparts and many officials of these countries to discuss ways to advance bilateral relations between Egypt and each of them in various fields.

He will also discuss issues of common interest, as well as climate change, especially as Egypt will host the 27th session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations on climate change (COP27).

Minister Shoukry will participate in the 48th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), to be held in the Pakistani capital Islamabad on 22-23 March.
