President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Arif Alvi met on Tuesday with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sameh Shoukry, who conveyed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi’s greetings and praised the current state of bilateral relations.
Alvi expressed his expectation that Al-Sisi would visit Pakistan in the coming period to further advance bilateral relations between the two countries.
Ahmed Hafez — the Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — said the meeting tackled all issues of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the friendly and growing relations between Egypt and Pakistan.
For his part, FM Shoukry stressed the importance of maintaining the momentum of bilateral relations as well as continuing to intensify political consultations and continuous coordination between the two countries on issues of mutual concern.
