The price of the USD fell by more than four piasters from its value against the EGP, during Wednesday’s trading session, recording EGP 18.2333 for buying and EGP 18.3333 for selling.
The USD’s value on Tuesday was EGP 18.2742 and EGP 18.3742.
The official price of the USD at the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) also decreased by the same amount, recording EGP 18.2147 and EGP 18.3383, compared to Tuesday’s EGP 18.2550 and EGP 18.3867.
Furthermore, the exchange rates of foreign and Arab currencies witnessed a collective decline against the EGP on Wednesday.
The exchange rate of the euro in the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr amounted to EGP 20.22 for buying and EGP 20.48 for selling. It also recorded EGP 19.20 and EGP 20.45 at the Commercial International Bank (CIB).
The price of the British Pound in the NBE and Banque Misr also declined to EGP 23.88 and EGP 24.14. The CIB’s prices were EGP 23.85 and EGP 24.12.
In terms of Arab currencies, the price of the Saudi riyal reached EGP 4.86 and EGP 4.89, the Kuwaiti dinar recorded EGP 57.76 and EGP 60.39, and the Emirati dirham traded at EGP 4.96 and EGP 4.99.
