The Professional Squash Association (PSA) chose Nouran Gohar, the Wadi Degla player, who is ranked first in the world for women, as the joint-best player in March, after she won the Black Bowl title last month to maintain its leadership in the world ranking this April. Paul Cole was also named as the best player in March.
The PSA announced the new rankings for April, in which Gohar maintained the top spot for the second time in her professional career, after winning several championships this season. She ended the dominance of her compatriot Nour El Sherbini which spanned for about 17 consecutive months from November 2020 until March 2022.
Nour El-Sherbiny fell to the second place in the ranking, while Hania Al-Hamami maintained her third place. Other Egyptian female players in the top 10 ranking were Salma Hani (seventh) and Rawan Al-Arabi (eighth).
