Director of Marsool Egypt Karim Gamal said that the company succeeded in achieving a double growth in the volume of orders by the end of 2021 compared to 2020, pointing out that Marsool’s application is currently used by 1.7m users inside Egypt and is expected to reach 3m users in Greater Cairo by the end of 2022.
For his part, Marketing Director of Masrool Egypt Mohamed Magdy said that the company’s brand has achieved great prosperity over the past months, and this was helped by the entry of Marsool as a sponsor of Al-Ahly Club, which contributed to the company’s sales growth significantly.
On the side-lines of his first media meeting with a number of journalists — which was attended by Daily News Egypt — the director of Marsool Egypt revealed that there are 150,000 couriers registered on the application currently, with a plan to reach 250,000 by the end of this year and 1m in Egypt over the next five years.
“This year, Marsool has started implementing an expansion plan inside Egypt under the instructions of the parent administration in Saudi Arabia by pumping new investments that will be exploited in several axes, most notably increasing the work team within the company’s branch in Egypt and focusing on increasing the size of partners in addition to adding new features,” Gamal said.
Marsool started its work in Egypt in 2019 and is currently contributing to the delivery of orders based on the direct delivery model from one point to another, during which the delivery service provider agrees with the customer on all the details, and this is currently being done within several Egyptian cities, especially those in the Greater Cairo area.
The director revealed that the company has finished developing all the technical details of providing electronic payment services to users, and it will be launched as soon as the necessary tests are completed to ensure that the service is provided with the highest possible quality that guarantees providing real added value to customers.
