Security forces arrested on Saturday several young men suspected for harassing two tourists in the Great Pyramids area in Giza.
This came after circulation of a video clip on social media, which showed several young men assaulting two tourists. Security forces identified and arrested 13 youth aged between 13-15 years old. Legal measures were taken and the suspects were referred to the Public Prosecution.
A tour guide reportedly recorded the incident on video and shared it on a WhatsApp group for tour guides.
On Friday, security forces in Giza, in coordination with the Tourism and Antiquities Investigations Department, launched a security campaign in the archaeological area.
