Minister of Finance, Mohamed Maait, has announced that the payroll automation process for state employees will be completed by the end of 2022.
The new Payroll system has been first applied for the departments that moved to the New Administrative Capital.
He added that this new system provides new guarantees for the accuracy of calculating the entitlements of state workers, and standardizing the procedures for calculating deductions.
Mohamed Abdel Fattah, Assistant Minister for Budget Affairs, said that the payroll system was implemented efficiently and effectively in 283 administrative agencies, of which 64 are moving to the New Administrative Capital; 205 from the local administration, and 14 other agencies, explaining that workshops were held through video conference technology, in coordination with some ministries, to explain the new system, and to highlight its importance.
He added that the Ministry of Finance, in cooperation with e-finance, prepared a guide for the payroll system, where about 1,189 employees were trained, pointing out that the Ministry continues to provide technical support, responding to any inquiries and overcoming any obstacles that unfold on the ground during the actual implementation.
