The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) revealed that the USD’s price fell by more than 11 piasters by the end of Wednesday’s trading, reaching EGP 18.3289 for purchase and EGP 18.4183 for sale, compared to Tuesday’s EGP 18.4422 and EGP 18.5283.
At the level of bank transactions, the price of the USD in the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr fell to EGP 18.34 for purchase and EGP 18.40 for sale, while at the Commercial International Bank (CIB), it reached EGP 18.35 and EGP 18.42.
As for the euro’s price, it recorded EGP 19.26 for purchase and EGP 19.45 for sale at the NBE and Banque Misr, while going for EGP 19.31 and EGP 19.47 at the CIB.
Furthermore, the GBP is being purchased for EGP 22.52 and sold for EGP 22.79 at the NBE and Banque Misr, while going for EGP22.58 and EGP 22.80 at the CIB.
In terms of Arab currencies, the Saudi Riyal is being valued at EGP 4.88 for purchase and EGP 4.90 for sale, the Kuwaiti Dinar at EGP 57.51 and EGP 59.97, and the Emirati Dirham at EGP 4.99 and EGP 5 for sale.
