Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met on Tuesday with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF).
Ambassador Ahmed Hafez, the spokesperson for the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the two ministers expressed their pride in the distinguished level of bilateral relations that bring together the two countries at the official and popular levels, as well as ways to strengthen those relations, whether in their multiple bilateral contexts, or with Iraq within the framework of their trilateral cooperation mechanism.
The two ministers also discussed the latest developments on regional and international arenas, especially the Palestinian issue and the current developments therein, and the situation in the Arab world.
The meeting witnessed a consensus of views on the need to advance the priority of political solutions to the issues of the region, in a way that pushes the stabilization of peace and stability, and meets the aspirations of the Arab peoples towards prosperity.
