President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Saturday congratulated the Egyptian people on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the 23 July Revolution.
In his speech on this occasion, Al-Sisi said: “The July Revolution has made inspiring contributions to the global movement to decolonize and consolidate the right of peoples to self-determination.”
He added: “The history of the Egyptian Armed Forces will always be full of national championships and achievements, and among those is the glorious July Revolution.”
“This is a unique relationship between the people and army that represents a model for a national institution that understands its mission, performs it to the fullest, and does not deviate from it,” the Egyptian president continued.
He added that Egypt, with its geographical location and its regional and international role, cannot isolate itself from the challenges and changes sweeping the world and their repercussions have affected everyone.
“There is no way to overcome these challenges except through hard and continuous work, just as Egypt has faced various challenges over the past years with economic, social, political and security dimensions,” he said.
Al-Sisi added: “Without the efforts of the state in the field of economic reform that the Egyptian people have endured, and the giant development projects throughout the country, it would never have been possible to withstand these severe crises.
The successive achievements that have been achieved in Egypt over recent years, especially in the fields of infrastructure, new urban agglomerations, energy, and the localization of industry, are a testament to the strength of the Egyptian will to progress, build a better future, and form a strong and stable national economy,” he said.
