Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, met on Tuesday with the organizing committee of the 17th Conference of Youth (COY17), which will be held on the sidelines of the climate summit COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh in November.
COY17 will be held from 3 to 5 November, with the participation of 1,500 young men and women from different countries around the world, in cooperation with the Ministries of Environment and Foreign Affairs.COY17
Sobhy was briefed on the preparations for the conference, including dialogue sessions, workshops, opening and closing ceremonies, and events, as well as logistics and accommodation for participants.
He stressed that COY17 aims to empower young people and bring their voices to the processes of the UN Framework Convention on climate change to shape intergovernmental climate change policies.
