President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met on Saturday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to follow up on the ongoing land reclamation projects in New Delta, Sharq El Owainat, and Toshka regions.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker, Advisor to the President for Urban Planning Amir Ahmed, Director of the Future of Egypt project Bahaa El-Din El-Ghannam.
The President was briefed on the developments of the “Future of Egypt” project, including digging new water wells, building water treatment plants, and expanding the electricity network in New Delta, and building lifting stations.
They also reviewed the land reclamation projects in Sharq El Owainat, where the President directed to make studies about the soil, geographical terrain, climate, and available water sources in the region, so as to select the best crops that can be grown in the region in line with those factors.
