Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi received President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, King of Jordan Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi in New Alamein city on Monday.
The official spokesperson for the Egyptian presidency stated that Al-Sisi welcomed the distinguished guests of Egypt in a special fraternal meeting, expressing the appreciation and affection that Egypt’s leadership and people have for the close historical ties that unite it with its sister countries.
The UAE announced the allocation of an investment fund of $10bn for joint projects with Egypt and Jordan through the Abu Dhabi Development Holding (ADQ) to support and accelerate projects.
The meeting witnessed an exchange of views between the leaders on enhancing various aspects of regional relations and making optimal use of all available areas to enhance cooperation between them.
In June, Egypt, the UAE, and Jordan launched the Integrated Industrial Partnership Initiative for sustainable economic development in Abu Dhabi.
Meanwhile, Egypt, Iraq and Jordan have intensified their trilateral collaboration over the past few years to enhance strategic relations between the three countries.
Moreover, Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq have expanded their trilateral cooperation mechanism launched in 2019 in several fields, including energy, industry, agriculture, transport, food security, infrastructure, and investment.
