President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi expressed his appreciation for the sincere efforts of the Iraqi parties and called for calm from various political forces in the country and to de-escalate.
He wished that these sincere efforts will be invested to build on them to promote the path of dialogue between all for the sake of the safety of Iraq and preserve its capabilities.
President Al-Sisi stressed Egypt’s full support for the security and stability of Iraq and the safety of its brotherly people.
President Al-Sisi called on all Iraqi parties to prioritize the supreme interest of their homeland in order to overcome the political crisis through dialogue and in a way that achieves stability, security and prosperity for Iraqis,” he said.
This came during two telephone calls held by President Al-Sisi on Monday evening, with both Iraqi President Barham Saleh and Mustafa al-kadhimi, the Iraqi Prime Minister.
