President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Prince Faisal bin Farhan — the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs — on Sunday in the presence of FM Sameh Shoukry and Osama Nugali— Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador in Cairo.
In a statement, Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady said that Al-Sisi stressed the strategic specificity of Egyptian-Saudi relations, as they represent a pillar for the stability of the entire Arab region, especially in light of the delicate circumstances experienced by Arab countries and the various challenges they face.
In turn, bin Farhan stressed the depth of the historical relations that unite the two countries and the brotherly peoples, and the kingdom’s keenness to strengthen the frameworks of strategic cooperation between the two countries at various levels.
He also emphasised the kingdom’s plan to continue the process of work and intensive coordination with Egypt on various regional and international issues.
The spokesperson added that the meeting discussed bilateral relations, as well as consultations on a number of regional and international issues of mutual concern.
