Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy held an extensive meeting with heads and representatives of private Egyptian airlines on Monday, to discuss their work mechanisms and development during the next phase, as well as their role in boosting domestic and foreign tourism.
Helmy confirmed that the Ministry of Aviation is keen to provide all aspects of support and facilities to private Egyptian companies, in a way that enhances their great role in the air transportation system and contributes to increasing national income rates, especially since the aviation sector is witnessing a clear development boom during the current period.
The minister called private aviation companies to keep pace with future development vision targeted by the Ministry of Civil Aviation in order to activate air traffic and incoming tourism to Egypt.
During the meeting, a number of issues related to private aviation business and ways of providing all necessary facilities to attract more investments in the air transport sector were discussed.
The Minister of Aviation also listened to the obstacles facing private companies, where visions and proposals were exchanged to solve them. Moreover, it was agreed to hold regular meetings with the Civil Aviation Authority and EgyptAir in order to achieve integration between civil aviation sectors to reach joint work mechanisms that contribute to the advancement of the air transport system.
