John Saad — Co-founder and CEO of Aim Technologies, which specialises in data analysis and market research for AI-powered social media — said the company is negotiating with government agencies to provide its services in data analytics using AI via social media platforms around the events of the COP27.
Saad added during a round table held by the company on Monday that the company is already cooperating with a number of government agencies to analyse users’ opinions on social media platforms.
He revealed that the total volume of the company’s investments in the Arab region exceeded EGP 50m with a portfolio of clients in seven countries, including Egypt, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Jordan, Pakistan, and Canada.
Furthermore, he added that the size of the global data market is $150bn and is expected to exceed $250bn within five years.
Saad then explained that the company works in a number of pivotal sectors, namely telecommunications, real estate, retail, and cars, in addition to cooperating with ministries and government institutions.
He also noted that the company is negotiating with a number of banks to provide its solutions to measure customer satisfaction via social media platforms using AI.
Additionally, he reviewed the company’s endeavours to provide its services to the telecommunications sector to meet customer satisfaction with telecommunications services, as well as its negotiations with a number of banks to provide its services to them.
Saad then went on to say that data mining, understanding, and analysis on social media requires human data analysts and robots to examine vast amounts of raw data in order to discern patterns and trends related to online behaviours, content sharing, interpersonal communications, online purchasing behaviour, and more, which is a large field that relies on computer science, data mining, machine learning, and statistics.
Aim Technologies is the first AI company in the region that specialises in understanding and analysing different local languages and dialects in the Middle East and Africa.
It has achieved a volume of contracts worth more than EGP 40m since its establishment and with investments that reached more than EGP 50m in the Arab region, according to Saad.
He added that the company aims to develop an integrated set of products based on AI to support and develop the businesses of companies in the public and private sectors and governments and increase the satisfaction of the target audience by analysing and understanding the trends and opinions of customers and users, as data is the new black gold, adding that the company aspires to become the largest company for AI in the MEA.
Saad also indicated that the company aims to support Egypt’s 2030 Vision.
Egypt aims to increase the contribution of AI to the gross domestic product to 7.7% by 2030, according to the Information and Decision Support Centre, which confirms that AI will enter many fields in the future and will replace humans in important jobs.
