Egypt’s Armed Forces organised a joint training course with its German counterpart on improvised explosive devices (IEDs) within the context of the peacekeeping forces at the Institute of Military Engineers.

This comes within the framework of the General Command of the Armed Forces’ keenness to raise the level of training and exchange experiences with brotherly and friendly countries.

The course included the training of military engineers carrying out the tasks of searching and inspecting IEDs through theoretical and practical lectures on the latest methods of dealing with them and training on ways to discover them using the latest search and inspection devices and means, as well as training medical personnel on first aid in the field with the latest scientific methods, along with the implementation of air medical evacuations.

The course concluded with a review of the activities that took place during the training period, which reflected the high level of the participants in the training, enabling them to carry out all the tasks entrusted to them efficiently and competently.
