The Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation announced on Monday that 84,000 tonnes of corn and soybeans worth an estimated $51m were released last week.
According to a statement by the ministry, this comes within the framework of following up the results of the meeting held by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly regarding poultry wealth.
It added that the release included 32,000 tonnes of corn at about $11m, 52,000 tonnes of soybeans at a value of about $37m, as well as feed additives at about $3m, bringing the total that was released from 16 October to 1 December to 960,000 tonnes, including 643,000 tonnes of corn and 317,000 tonnes of soybeans and feed additives valued at $483m.
