Minister of Public Enterprises Sector Mahmoud Esmat has discussed with Oka Hiroshi, Ambassador of Japan to Cairo, ways to enhance joint cooperation.
The meeting witnessed a review of opportunities and areas of possible cooperation between the companies of the Ministry of Public Enterprises and Japanese companies, in many sectors and industrial and investment activities.
He pointed to Egypt’s interest and keenness to develop bilateral cooperation between the two countries in many sectors, especially development, economy and investment.
He welcomed cooperation with Japanese investors, especially in light of the strong economic partnership between Egypt and Japan, which is embodied in several projects implemented by the Egyptian state.
He presented many investment opportunities and current and future projects in the companies affiliated with the ministry, referring to the investment procedures, facilities and incentives offered by the Egyptian state to foreign investors, and the openness to partnership with the private sector, whether local or foreign, in various forms.
For his part, Oka Hiroshi, the Japanese ambassador to Cairo, stressed the strength of the economic relations between the two countries, and his keenness to encourage more Japanese investors to pump new investments in Egypt.
