In line with the Egyptian government’s directives to transform into a cashless society and enhance financial inclusion, Jumia, the leading e-commerce platform in the Egyptian market, and Zoomcar, the largest self-driving car company in the Indian market, have announced the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between the two sides.
Zoomcar Egypt provides its services through the company’s platform, which is characterized by ease of use, by providing services that allow citizens to easily access safe personal means of transportation, as customers can book cars through the application at affordable prices. As for car owners, they will be able to register the car for rent, up to obtaining a free car inspection at the start of the trip, so that the owner can obtain a satisfactory financial return with maximum flexibility and insurance that covers up to 100% in the event of damage, with the application of the terms and conditions regulating that.
Through its strategic partnership with Jumia, the JumiaPay platform will accept online payments for the Zoom Car application and website, as Zoomcar allows users to rent cars by the hour, day, week or month.
Commenting on this cooperation, Sarah Hassan, Head of Customer Services Development Department, expressed her happiness at Jumia’s leadership in the field of electronic payment and collection through the Jumia Pay platform, and in its new partnership with Zoom Car, electronic payment and collection operations will be managed for Zoomcar customers, as Jumia seeks to conclude partnerships and agreements with many companies and institutions that aim to improve the customer experience in the electronic payment process, in a manner commensurate with the capabilities of customers and in line with Egypt’s vision 2030 aimed at achieving financial inclusion and digital transformation.
