Mahmoud Mohieldin, UN Climate Change High Level Champion for Egypt and UN Special Envoy on Financing 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, participates in a programme organized by the Canadian company “Competent Boards” which specializes in organizing educational programs on climate and biodiversity.
Mohieldin will give a lecture within the programme that addresses the rules governing environmental and climate practices of companies and private sector, disclosure requirements, as well as clarifying NetZero strategies, and mechanisms for saving climate and biodiversity.
The programme aims to raise the awareness of corporate and business actors on climate issues and the governance rules that direct the role that companies can play, in a way that enhances their contributions to achieving climate goals and curbing the phenomenon of greenwashing.
Number of distinguished international climate experts and officials of the environment and climate sectors at major international companies will participate in the programme.
