Egyptian security forces arrested two burglary suspects for the theft of the villa of Egypt’s and Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in New Cairo and the stolen items were retrieved, according to a statement by the interior ministry.
On March 12, the security services of the Cairo Security Directorate received a notification from Salah’s business manager that he had discovered the theft of some of the contents of the aforementioned player’s villa located in a residential compound in New Cairo.
By conducting investigations and collecting information, and by tracking the itineraries, the security services were able to identify the perpetrators of the incident, and it was found that they were two people residing in Ismailia Governorate and that the incident was committed on 2 March.
According to the ministry’s statement, the stolen items included sports shoes, a silver medal, a piece of crystal, and a number of receivers.
On Wednesday, security forces arrested the perpetrators after an investigation revealed their identities, according to a statement.
The Public Prosecution Office conducted the investigation and legal measures have been taken.
