Health Minister participates in Middle East Quality, Safety Forum in Health Care

Egypt’s Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar attended the Middle East Quality and Safety Forum in Health Care, in the Qatari capital, Doha, from 16 to 19 March. 

The Egyptian minister had received an invitation from Hanan Al-Kuwari, the Qatari Public Health Minister, to participate in the event. 

According to a statement of Egypt’s Health Ministry, Abdel Ghaffar met with the Qatari Minister of Public Health, on Saturday, to discuss many common health files between the two countries. 

The meeting included the exchange of successful experiences and experiences between the two countries in comprehensive health coverage and health initiatives, as Abdel Ghaffar reviewed the achievements made by Egypt in this regard. 

Both ministers exchanged experiences in the field of medicine “Telemedicine” and the latest methods used in this framework, in addition to exchanging experiences in the field of combating more prevalent diseases in the field of primary basic care, preventive medicine, epidemic surveillance and treatment care, in addition to showing successful experiments for the two countries in managing crises, health guidance and fans.

Experiences of the two countries in the field of mechanism and digitalization for health services, as well as successful experiences between the two countries in the field of eliminating waiting lists for accurate surgical operations were reviewed in the meeting.

On the side-lines of his attendance of the Middle East Quality and Safety Forum in Health Care, Abdel Ghaffar inspected the exhibition pavilions held within the activities of the forum, where the modern minister exchanged with those in charge of the exhibition wings, on the latest services and service programs that can be used to improve the health services provided For citizens.

The Egyptian-Qatari relations witnessed a notable progress over the past few months after years of discomfort between the two sides. Progress in the relations included the political, health, and military in addition to the economic cooperation.
