Huawei Digital Power, a company specialized in providing digital energy products and solutions, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Elsewedy Electric T&D in the fields of clean and renewable energy, especially in FusionSolar photovoltaic energy solutions and EV charging in the Egyptian market.
“Huawei strongly supports the Egyptian government’s efforts to expand reliance on green energy. It also supports the sustainable energy strategy for 2035. We are looking forward to working side by side with El Sewedy Electric T&D to cooperate in national projects in the fields of solar energy solutions, car charging and electric buses, in line with Egypt’s plans to transition toward clean energy, expanding the use of electric cars, and localizing the electric car industry in Egypt,” said Joey Ding, CEO of Digital Power Business at Huawei Egypt.
Medhat Maher, CEO of Elsewedy Electric T&D, expressed his happiness about the cooperation with Huawei Egypt in order to serve the goals of Elsewedy Electric T&D towards expanding renewable energy projects. The company has developed a long-term plan through which it aims to open prospects for cooperation with major international companies in this field, including Huawei Egypt.
It is worth noting that Huawei Digital Power focuses on five main areas: smart photovoltaic energy; data center facilities; the mPower system for electric vehicles; power stations; and integrated energy solutions. It aims to build a smart and low-carbon society based on digital technologies. Huawei will continue to cooperate with many companies specialized in the five fields in the public and private sectors in Egypt, as it comes within the framework of Huawei’s strategy, which seeks to contribute to developing the business of vital sectors and industries and building smart and low-carbon societies based on digital technologies. Huawei also works to combine digital technologies and power electronics to provide low-carbon, safe, smooth and clean solutions to achieve sustainability.
