The Ordinary General Assembly of the Housing and Development Bank (HDB), which was held last Thursday, re-elected Hassan Ghanem as Chairperson of the bank for a new term that runs from March 2023 to March 2026.
Ghanem assumed the position of Chairperson and Managing Director of the Housing and Development Bank in December 2019, to lead the bank within a short period towards achieving a remarkable boom and exceptional growth at all levels of business, by implementing an ambitious strategy through which it seeks to become one of the largest comprehensive commercial banks in the banking market.
He also adopted a unique business model, aimed at enhancing the bank’s banking activities and services to achieve its vision and goals, in line with the requirements of the banking market and the principles of competition, which led to the achievement of strong financial indicators, as the bank recorded net profits after taxes amounting to EGP 2.257bn in 2022, compared to EGP 1.830bn in 2021, with a growth rate of 23.3%.
