Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly has appointed two new vice-presidents of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), with the aim of strengthening the authority’s role in improving the investment climate and developing the business environment.
Tamer Amin Mahmoud Al-Batanouni was appointed as Deputy Chairperson of GAFI for Legal Affairs, and Amr Khaled Ibrahim Nour El-Din was appointed as Deputy Chairperson of GAFI for Technical Affairs and Follow-up.
Tamer Al-Batanouni was the Advisor to the President of Appeals in the Courts of Appeal, Head of the Technical Office of the Minister of Justice, and Advisor to the Technical Secretariat of the Ministerial Committee for Settlement of Investment Disputes at the Investment Authority. He also worked as a lecturer at the National Center for Judicial Studies.
Amr Nour El-Din held the position of Advisor to the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones for Investment Promotion since October 2006, and the official of the national contact point for Egypt at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development OECD. He also worked as a legal advisor to the International Leasing and Investment Company in Kuwait, one of the subsidiaries of Banque Misr, Islamic Development, and Kuwait International Bank (formerly the Kuwait Real Estate Bank).
