Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry will head to N’djamena and Juba on Monday for consultations with Sudan’s neighbors on the latest developments of the Sudanese crisis and its regional and international impacts, as well as ways to coordinate efforts to resolve it in order to preserve the safety of the brotherly Sudanese people and the stability of their country.

During the visit, Shoukry will bring a message from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to President Mohamed Idriss Deby of Chad and President Salva Kiir of South Sudan, said Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the Foreign Ministry’s official spokesperson.

He added that the current Sudanese crisis was casting a shadow over fragile and tense regional situations, and its continuation had serious consequences for the stability of the entire region and for the safety and stability of the Sudan.

Abu Zeid pointed out that the Sudanese people are suffering greatly as a result of the ongoing fighting and military confrontations, and all of these matters require intensifying mechanisms of consultation and coordination between the countries of Sudan’s geographical neighbors, as they are most concerned about their stability and the safety of their people.
