CIB’s Hisham Ezz Al-Arab receives Lifetime Achievement Award at African Banker Awards 2023

Egypt’s leading private sector bank, Commercial International Bank (CIB), is thrilled to announce that Hisham Ezz Al-Arab, Chairperson of CIB, has received the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award at the African Banker Awards 2023.

The African Banker Awards’ committee has granted him this accolade in recognition of his remarkable achievements throughout his banking career, especially as leader of CIB. Under his careful guidance, Ezz Al-Arab managed to build CIB into one of Africa’s and the emerging market’s most successful private sector banks, renowned for its continuous commitment to global best practices in both corporate governance and risk management. His unwavering integrity and groundbreaking accomplishments, which span throughout his life, serve as a source of inspiration for many in the financial services industry and beyond.

The African Banker Awards is a landmark annual event organized by the African Banker magazine with the support of the African Development Bank Group as the event’s official patron, the African Guarantee Fund as the platinum sponsor and the Trade and Development Bank as an associate sponsor. The Awards took place during the African Development Bank’s annual meeting, where pioneering banks and their leaders are awarded and recognized for using the best practices in the continent.
